Our tomatoes have been ripening since mid-August. Shown here are the latest pickings. The seeds for these came from Jen's Nono. Jen's mom sent them to us by mail. The plants themselves were pretty picky. They didn't fend off the powdery mildew as well as our storebought seeds did, and also had a mild case of blossom-end rot on the first few fruits. Another problem we noticed was the flowers would develop but then yellow off and die. I suspect many of these problems were due to the small planters we had them in (apartment gardening is a challenge). The soil is completely root-bound and so it dries out very quickly. But after all that, the tomatoes are delicious!
